Lifelist Item Complete: Make Halloween Costumes for the Kids
I'm so glad I finally did this! Though I don't exactly know how to sew or use patterns, there has been a Project Runway sewing machine collecting dust in the basement since last year. What better time than Halloween to break it out and find my way around some cool kids costumes?
The kids have been obsessed with playing Super Mario Bros. on the Wii so their costume selections were no surprise. I looked at some pictures, bought some fabric at Hobby Lobby and constructed the costumes by tracing out some clothes they already had in their closet.
Chloe was Princess Peach, Matt was Luigi and Alan picked up a Super Mario costume from Target. At the very last minute, I managed to put together a Toad costume to coordinate with the kids before a fun night of trick or treating. I'm excited to learn more about sewing and plan to make more costumes for the kids if the opportunity arises. They're at a really fun age for dressing up and they look super adorable no matter what!
In other news, I'll be posting some of my other Lifelist accomplishments soon, lots of good things to share. Hope all is well with you dear readers and that you have a great weekend!
